Gisele is dancing on the beach – in her bathing suit. In a new social media post the model shows off her forever young figure in a tiny swimsuit during a day on the beach in Brazil. "Special little moments," she captioned the series of Instagram snaps. "I'm feeling so much better at 43 than at 23," Gisele recently revealed during a Women's Health panel. How does she approach health and wellness? Celebwell rounded up her top health habits.
Gisele pays attention to where all the ingredients are being sourced from the food that she eats, making sure they are pesticide free. "Food that comes from the earth is always the best," she said. "Everything starts on the soil," she tells Women's Health.
"I was raised in a different way where plants are my pharmacy in a way," Gisele says. She takes Gaia Herbs supplements, which include ashwagandha and turmeric, each morning.
Gisele wakes up at 5:00 a.m. and meditates. After, she drinks lukewarm water with lemon and then gets a workout in. "The most important thing for me is to have enough time to move my body every day to meditate," she says.
Gisele bases her breakfast on her workouts. "If I did more weight training, then I'll definitely have scrambled eggs or hardboiled eggs because I want to have that protein," she said. She might have an energizing smoothie with almonds. "It's really connecting with yourself and feeling, what's going to give me the most support right now? What's going to give me the most energy?" she explains.
Gisele eats green and "small amounts" of animal protein. Her lunch and dinners are usually 80 percent vegetables and 20 percent animal protein. She especially loves sweet potatoes. "They're good with everything. I put them in soups, I put them in salads. I just love them," she says.
During an equinox or solstice, when the seasons change, Gisele will do two or three days of juicing. "When you go back to eating food, to eating solids, you really appreciate the taste of everything," she says.
Gisele is a big fan of meal planning, sometimes creating a general menu and buying the necessary ingredients for her family's meals a week ahead of time. "Planning for food is really important, especially when you buy, so you don't have any food waste," she says.
